Bit of a nostalgia post for the long-time carp anglers…
Does anyone remember Vision Baits from around 2010? One of the products that always sticks in my mind was their Ecto-Plasm glug. At the time it seemed to have a bit of a cult following, and plenty of anglers swore by it for giving hookbaits that extra edge.
I can still remember the bright, distinctive look of it and the smell was unlike most of the standard fruity or fishmeal glugs that were around back then. Whether it was confidence, the attraction or just being different, it definitely caught fish for a lot of people.
Back in those days there were loads of smaller bait companies producing some really innovative products before the market became dominated by the bigger brands. It felt like every year there was another bait that everyone was talking about on the bank.
