Pettitts Lake regular Rob Stewart has been putting in the hours recently, with his sights firmly set on some of the lake’s bigger residents.
That effort has certainly been paying off, with one of his latest captures being the impressive Five Scale at 37lb 10oz. 
The fish was looking in fantastic condition following spawning and, with plenty of time to regain some weight, there’s every chance she’ll be back over the 40lb mark this winter.
Rob was fishing from Peg 4, targeting an area at 20.5 wraps towards the pipe.
A single washed-out pink pop-up, presented on his reliable spinner rig, proved enough to tempt Five Scale and add another cracking Pettitts carp to his recent run of form. 
And by the sounds of it, there could be an even bigger story from Rob still to come…
