Let’s be honest… it’s not the most glamorous bit of fishing tackle you’ll ever buy, but it might just be one of the most useful.
The RidgeMonkey CoZee Toilet Seat Kit isn’t something I expected to rave about, but after using it on countless sessions over the last couple of years, it’s become one of those items that never leaves the van.
Why I Bought It
Like many anglers, I’ve done the late-night walk across a muddy lake in the pouring rain because nature called. It’s never enjoyable.
For me, it’s even more important because I suffer with IBS, so having quick and reliable access to a toilet isn’t just a convenience—it’s one less thing to worry about while fishing.
Since buying the CoZee kit, that stress has completely disappeared.
Build Quality 
The first thing that impressed me was just how solid everything feels.
The bucket is rigid and sturdy, the seat clips on securely and the whole thing feels stable when you’re using it. Unlike some cheaper bucket toilet setups, it doesn’t feel flimsy or like it’s about to collapse underneath you.
It genuinely feels like a quality product that’s been designed to last.
Comfort
You don’t expect to be talking about comfort when reviewing a toilet…
…but credit where it’s due.
The seat is surprisingly comfortable, especially during longer sessions, and it feels far more like using a proper toilet than balancing on a bucket.
It’s one of those products that you don’t fully appreciate until you’ve used it a few times.
Perfect for Long Sessions
Where this kit really comes into its own is during overnight sessions.
Instead of getting fully dressed at 3am, pulling your boots on and wandering across a wet, muddy fishery with a headtorch, everything you need is right there inside the bivvy.

The Bags Actually Work
One concern I had before buying it was smell.
Thankfully, the supplied waste bags do an excellent job.
They’re easy to fit, simple to remove and do a far better job of containing odours than I expected. Even after warmer summer sessions, I’ve never found it to be an issue.
It’s something RidgeMonkey have clearly put some thought into.
Is It Worth the Money?
The CoZee certainly isn’t the cheapest toilet setup available.
You can buy a basic bucket for much less.
But after using it regularly, I think the extra money is justified.
Everything feels better built, more comfortable and simply nicer to use. It’s one of those purchases that improves every longer fishing session without you really thinking about it.
Overall Verdict
The RidgeMonkey CoZee Toilet Seat Kit falls into the same category as a decent bedchair or sleeping bag…
You don’t buy it to catch more carp.
You buy it because it makes life on the bank far more comfortable.
If you’re someone who regularly fishes overnighters, long weekends or week-long sessions, I’d happily recommend it.
For me personally, it’s become essential kit and I genuinely wouldn’t be without it.
