What a campaign it’s been for Scott Larman, who has landed the mighty Mikes Pet from RK Leisure’s Wraysbury North at an incredible 50lb 6oz – and he’s done it in under a year. 
Scotty has put the work in this season, fishing hard and putting together an unbelievable run of captures. It got to the point where the lads in the Atomic Tackles consultants’ group were joking that it was only a matter of time before the lake’s biggest resident ended up in his net.
Sticking to his game plan, Scott timed his trips around the full moon, with the word “inevitable” doing the rounds in the group chat. His original target, The Long Sutton, actually slipped up just a few swims away during the night, with Scott even jumping in to take the photos for his mate, My Camo Alien. A proper angler’s gesture.
It almost felt like the lake repaid the favour.
The following morning, the message everyone had been waiting for landed… Mikes Pet was in the net at 50lb 6oz, giving Scott a new UK PB and capping off what has been a seriously impressive summer campaign.
The campaign might not be completely over, but that’s one hell of a way to round it off.
