PVA is one of those products where the differences between brands can be surprisingly noticeable.
Cheap PVA can be absolutely fine, but it can also split while loading, melt too slowly or leave an annoying residue around the rig.
Carp Craze PVA seems to be turning up more often and I would be interested to hear from anglers using it regularly.
For me, the biggest test is cold water.
Most PVA works perfectly in summer, but winter separates the decent stuff from the poor stuff.
You want it to dissolve quickly without leaving a sticky mess around the hookbait.
Strength matters as well.
Solid bags need to survive being packed tightly and cast hard without exploding mid-air.
Mesh is slightly different because I want it strong enough to compress properly while still melting quickly.
Price obviously comes into it because anyone who fishes bags regularly can get through loads of PVA over a season.
If a cheaper product performs just as well as one of the big-name brands, there is not much reason to pay extra.
Anyone used Carp Craze PVA enough to give it a proper verdict?
