These little boxes have become one of those bits of tackle I honestly couldn’t do without. Years ago I’d carry a massive tackle box stuffed with bits “just in case”, but these days I try to travel as light as possible, and the Korda Mini Boxes have made that really easy.
I use the 16-compartment version mainly for hooks, swivels, hook beads, sleeves and a few other essential rig components. Everything has its own place, so I’m not rummaging around trying to find what I need when I want to tie a fresh rig.
The lids shut securely too, so even after being thrown in the back of the van or bouncing around inside my rucksack, nothing ends up mixed together. They’re surprisingly tough for something so small and have stood up to plenty of abuse.
If you’re the sort of angler who only carries the essentials for a session, these are a no-brainer. They’ve completely replaced the need for a bulky tackle box for me, and I genuinely wouldn’t go back.
