I’ve noticed the new RidgeMonkey EscAPE FQ1 Bivvy is finally starting to arrive in tackle shops.
It looks like RidgeMonkey have focused on making it quicker to put up, lighter to carry and more adaptable depending on the length of your session ( thank god its not another XF style ) . They’re claiming it can be up and down in seconds thanks to the quick-lock frame, while still offering a full bivvy setup with a removable front, skull cap and groundsheet.

On paper it certainly sounds impressive, although every new bivvy seems to promise faster setup, less condensation and more space these days!
What do we reckon?
Anyone already picked one up or had a look in the shop?
Could this be a genuine alternative to the Tempest-style shelters that seem to dominate the banks these days, or is it just another bivvy with a different badge on it?
