Who will win?
Carp-Talk is pleased to announce an exciting competition which is sure to prove very popular with anglers all around the country. As from June 1st we will be running a Regional Anglers Competition in association with four of the UK's leading bait and rolling companies. The competition is only open to non-sponsored anglers (see
catch report form) and come the end of May 2010 will see four readers crowed Regional Anglers of the Year (one each in the North, South, East and West). The successful four will then receive a bait prize courtesy of one of our sponsors to the value of £1000 and the coveted crown for their region.

The rules are quite simple. All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning one of these fabulous prizes is report your catches to your favourite weekly magazine either via our website, post or through one of our regional contributors columns.
Carp-Talk will decide which region a catch appears, and this will be based on where the fish is caught from rather than where the angler lives (e.g. an angler living in Middlesborough who is successful at Bluebell Lakes in Northamptonshire will be entered into the eastern news section).
At the end of the competition, six anglers who have made a significant news impact in a region will then be selected by
Carp-Talk, and the six names then forwarded to the regional contributors within the relevant region who will then rank them in their order of preference, allocating their choice for sixth place with one point, fifth place two points, and so on, up to first place which will receive six points. The regional contributors will then submit their votes to
Carp-Talk where all of the points will be added up, and the anglers with the most points crowned Angler of the Year 'North...etc'.
It could be you!
